Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match winning run came to an end by the Black Cats before the global break, however will the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, readers and a range of guests.

In week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' new album, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football team," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look strong again.

West Ham's only away win this campaign came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.

My son told me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six matches.

They have got lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of October.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
