Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The plane touched down following standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, including Pete Hegseth, is safe," an official representative said in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This event isn't the initial instance that a American defense plane transporting a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical fault.
