Countless participants are expected to join the No Kings rallies, marking a further instance of a coalition that earlier gathered in one of the biggest days of protest ever recorded in the US. Events are scheduled for more than 2,700 venues, from small towns to major urban centers.

The current leader has cracked down in American cities, seeking to introduce national forces and expanding border personnel. The administration is working to penalize opposition, going after progressive entities alleged to be supporting terrorism or aggressive actions.
