Chalobah Set to Take Over from Marc Guehi in England Squad
Trevoh Chalobah followed his brother Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the 21st duo of brothers to be selected for the national team.
The Chelsea defender is likely to link up with the Three Lions selection to cover for injured Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old is set to link up with the team for England's remaining World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, although it has not yet been officially announced.
The Three Lions have already qualified for next summer's competition.
Chalobah earned his maiden call-up under England manager Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then made his debut against Senegal.
In September, Tuchel remarked Chalobah was unfortunate to be omitted from the team for qualifying games against Serbia and Andorra, and also did not select him for the following October matches.
Tuchel has been an key influence in Chalobah's development, having awarded him his Chelsea first appearance in the year 2021.
Chalobah has played in all but four fixtures for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the team third in the English top flight, in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the Champions League.
Guehi picked up a foot problem in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League success over AZ Alkmaar recently.
There are likely to be further inclusions to the selection. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has confirmed that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (a concussion) will be unavailable from the squad.
